Prevent Swedish hunters from killing 20 wolves

Prevent Swedish hunters from killing 20 wolves

The Issue

Sweden has issued permits to kill 20 wolves, on a total population of 250. A total of 6747 hunters has applied, to carry out this task.

The claim is that the maximum population that Sweden can manage is 200. In order to reach this number of wolves, each year a number of wolves is shot. According to the WWF
the population is at risk anyway, since the inbreed is expanding, weakening the health of the population. But a recent press release states that the 200 limit is temporarely,
so why shoot these 20 wolves at all!

Besides the fact that the number of wolves is very small considering the size of Sweden, based on EU regulations the shooting is prohibited on grounds of the EU Habitat’s Directive.

Please act quick: they start hunting TODAY!!!
