The entry of major international corporations has had an undeniable impact on our country and our cultural values, which we hold dear. Their introduction has shifted our society closer to the western norms, clearly visible in the rise of divorce rates, which was not a significant part of our culture previously.

India, the land of God, an eastern front, is now being inclined more towards western ideologies due to such external factors. By allowing a foreign entity like Starlink to take control of our ISP industry, we face an acute risk of such cultural shift intensifying further. Moreover, Starlink’s management of cookies could influence our nation's online behavior and perceptions.

Starlink, a project by Elon Musk's SpaceX, delivers internet service through a constellation of thousands of low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites. While the technological feats achieved by Starlink are impressive, it is important to uphold the values and safeguard the interests of our nation's residents first.

Our ask is not to ban Starlink entirely but to delay their operations until we fully understand the implications of such a decision. We urge the decision-makers to seek more time, involve technologists, sociologists, and appropriate stakeholders for a thorough analysis before taking a decision. This way, we can strike a balance between advancing technology and preserving our cultural integrity.
