I am deeply concerned about the escalating tensions between Russia and the UK, which could potentially lead to a nuclear conflict. This issue is personal to me as it threatens not only my country, but also global peace and stability. If such a conflict were to occur, it would likely involve NATO and could result in unimaginable destruction.

Russia has one of the world's largest stockpiles of nuclear weapons with approximately 4,300 warheads (Federation of American Scientists, 2020). The use of even a fraction of these weapons could cause catastrophic damage and loss of life. Moreover, it would have long-lasting environmental impacts that would affect future generations.

It is crucial for us to take action now to prevent this potential disaster. We must urge our leaders to engage in diplomatic discussions with Russia and work towards de-escalation. We need them to prioritize peace over power struggles.
