The serious nature of the concerns about the annexation of unincorporated Jackson Township land into Columbus for the purpose of building three-story apartment buildings in large numbers cannot be taken lightly.

All members of the surrounding community are in disagreement with the development of this land for this purpose as it would have immense negative impacts on all surrounding residents, including a substantial decrease in the quality of life we have all worked so hard to establish here in our small town. We are worried for the livability of our community.

• Residents of Demorest Rd and all neighboring communities already face the very dangerous and heavy traffic situations that exist on Demorest rd and its adjoining streets on a daily basis which is compounded immeasurably with the addition of such high density dwellings to the immediate area.

•  Heavy strain on the area's small infrastructure & local public services

•  The loss of green spaces & unincorporated township land that can accompanies higher-density developments & tall buildings that alter the aesthetic appeal of neighborhoods traditionally characterized by single-family homes or low-rise structures.

•  Furthermore the community faces negative impacts on property values, the potential for overcrowding in area schools, Groundwater, well, and septic issues, as well as many other major concerns. To address these concerns, it's important for developers and city planners to engage with residents, ensuring that growth is managed sustainably and that community voices are heard in the decision-making process.

• By fostering open dialogue and considering alternative development strategies, it is possible to balance the need for housing with the preservation of community values and quality of life. We urge everyone to lend support and make your voices heard. This is just one of many high density communities that are being planned or currently built in the immediate area, we are all affected.
