On May 16, 2023, our dear Alaina Dildine tragically drowned in the pool at Whiteland High School. This devastating incident could have been prevented if proper safety measures were in place. Alaina was left underwater for a staggering 53 minutes due to the lack of policies and safety protocols that would have ensured student supervision and accountability during and after class.

Alaina's untimely death serves as a painful reminder that Clark Pleasant schools failed to prioritize student safety. It is unacceptable that such a tragedy occurred without any preventative measures being implemented. We cannot allow this negligence to continue putting our students' lives at risk.
