Prevent greensand’s trust from flattening rushmere jump zone

The Issue

Greensand Trust has shown little interest in reopening Rushmere Bikepark, repeatedly claiming that doing so would cost them money—yet this claim does not reflect the reality of how the bikepark has operated for years. The park has always been built, maintained, and improved entirely by dedicated volunteers, not by Greensand Trust. These volunteers have given countless hours of labour, tools, and expertise at no expense to the Trust, ensuring the trails remain safe and sustainable. To now suggest that reopening the bikepark is a financial burden ignores the long-standing community effort that has kept it running. The truth is that the bikepark has never been a cost to Greensand Trust; it has been a gift—from the community to the wider public. Instead of supporting this volunteer-led resource, the Trust’s decision to keep it closed undermines both the hard work of the riders and the value the bikepark brings to the area. Opening it requires cooperation, not funding—but that cooperation has yet to be offered.
