Dean Trantalis' tenure as mayor of Fort Lauderdale has been marked by overdevelopment without proper infrastructure, a spiraling homeless crisis, and a police force that often fails to respond when called. His policies have led to an increase in homelessness by 6% in Broward County since 2018 (Broward County Homeless Continuum of Care Board), while the city's development projects have strained our infrastructure, leading to frequent water main breaks (City of Fort Lauderdale Public Works Department). Furthermore, the response time of our police force has decreased significantly under his leadership (Fort Lauderdale Police Department). We need a leader who will prioritize the needs of residents over developers and take decisive action on homelessness and public safety. It's time for change.
