Like many of you, I am deeply rooted in this town. I have long called this place home and have shared in the joy and challenges that comes with life here. However, I am increasingly troubled by the current town council's disregard for our well-being, evident in their proposed 39% council tax increase. This not only places an undue financial burden on us, but our town now stands, shamefully, as the tenth highest in the Nation in terms of council tax.

Discouragingly, this increase in council tax hasn't translated into visible improvements or enhancements of our quality of life. Instead of investing in practical beneficial projects, the council has been engaged in wasteful spending which doesn't serve our interests, but rather their personal gains.

This untenable situation calls for immediate change in our current council. It is crucial that the individuals we entrust with the leadership of our town actual represent us, the real townsfolk, and prioritise our needs and interests. 

We are calling for a halt to this unjustifiable council tax increase and the removal of the current councillors. It is time for a leadership that truly wants the best for the town.
