The Issue

For over a decade, I've called Pine Lake Park, NJ my home. Here, amidst its tranquil streets and friendly neighbors, I've found a community that truly feels like home. Recently however, there's been a proposal to allow a commercial building to be erected on a piece of land currently designated as residential. This is not permitted under the current zoning regulations and it threatens the very fabric of our neighborhood that we've come to cherish.

Allowing a commercial establishment in our residential area would significantly disrupt the community's atmosphere and daily life. Our streets, which are already bustling with vehicles, would struggle under the influx of traffic and parking demands that a commercial enterprise would inevitably bring. Increased traffic not only means potential danger for children and pedestrians but also a potential decrease in property values due to the increased congestion and noise.

Pine Lake Park has always been a serene and picturesque place where families come to thrive. It's important to preserve the residential integrity of our neighborhood, ensuring our streets remain safe and our community remains intact. This proposed commercial development is not just about a building; it's about changing the character and identity of our home.

The township must uphold its zoning laws to preserve the residential nature of Pine Lake Park. We cannot allow this type of overreach, which goes against the interests of its residents. Local government has a duty to protect its communities and maintain the trust of those living within them.

Let's stand together to ensure that our neighborhood remains a place where families can live peacefully. Please sign this petition to let our voices be heard by the township authorities. Together, we can keep Pine Lake Park the wonderful neighborhood it has always been.
