Prevent Changes in Husson Dining Hall Operating Hours and Keep Grab and Go Open!

The Issue

Like many of my fellow students at Husson, I am often rushing from one activity to another. As an athlete, I value not only quick, convenient meals but also maintaining a diet that supports my active lifestyle. Unfortunately, proposed changes to the operating hours of our beloved dining hall would greatly inconvenience us and the closure of HAH cafe and the Grab and Go would seriously limit our healthy food choices. It's vitally important to student life that these proposed changes not go through.

Our only other option, Cressy, is predominantly fried food - not a viable choice for those of us trying to stay healthy or managing specific dietary concerns. According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, high levels of trans fats and saturated fats, found in fried food, can contribute to heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.

We respectfully urge the Husson administration to rethink these proposed changes. The effects on student health, athletic performance, and overall wellbeing are too significant to be ignored. Please, let's keep our university a place that genuinely cares for its student body by providing quality, healthy, and accessible food options. We ask for your support - sign this petition to keep Husson's Dining Hall operating hours as they are and to save HAH Cafe and the Grab and Go!
