The Issue

In the current case of Nathaniel Grant, arrested and indicted in the tragic murder of O'Brian Grant, we need to adamantly display opposition to any potential bond release. O’Brian was a 20 year old scholar at Claflin University, and was known by many for his outgoing personality, warmth, loving spirit, and creative nature.

Nathaniel Grant's history of repeated offenses has proven him to be a clear threat, and is beyond capable of causing further harm if released. It's particularly disheartening to acknowledge that had our justice system held him accountable for his prior violent crimes, O'Brian Grant would likely still be alive today.

As it stands, Nathaniel Grant's actions have shown us his true character. We should believe him considering actions speak louder than words. We urge the county clerk, presiding judge, and solicitor to recognize this reasonable outcry from constituents, and refuse any possible bond for Nathaniel Grant.

Let us honor O'Brian Grant's memory by ensuring that a similar tragedy doesn't burden another innocent life. Please sign this petition and join us in standing against the bond release of Nathaniel Grant.
