Prevent a Mass Eviction by a Slumlord – Protect Families and let Dublin build Roots!

The Issue

Half a dozen families in the Green hills apartment complex, Tallaght, are facing no fault eviction by Dublin lettings and management, a landlord registered in Dublin, with hundreds of millions in assets. Every single home they own in the complex has been served with a Notice of Termination. If this proceeds, more than 30 people, including infants, pregnant women, schoolchildren, and people with disabilities, will be made homeless.

This is not just about housing. It is about:

Children’s futures: 20 children currently attend the local schools, some needing extra supports. Should they now apply for secondary school, but with their homes gone, where are they supposed to apply? Different counties? Different countries? Children will be left behind without the friends they have grown up with.
A community destroyed: For years, neighbours here have built a small, supportive community. Evicting all of us tears that apart overnight.
Local businesses at risk: Workers forced out of Tallaght will leave businesses struggling to keep staff.
Tallaght is already in a housing crisis. Rents are too high, and homes are almost impossible to find. Forcing dozens more people into homelessness is not just unethical – it damages the whole town’s stability and economy.

We call on South Dublin County Council and the authorities of Tallaght to act immediately.

This eviction can be stopped through a Tenant-in-Situ purchase, an Approved Housing Body partnership, or any other available mechanism.

We urge you to protect these families, safeguard the community, support local businesses, and preserve The communities these tenants have build.
