Beginning Fall 2019

1. Cal Poly Pomona let in one of the biggest classes they ever have.

2. They turned an entire section of Parking Lot M into a faculty parking, which stays mostly empty the entire day.

3. They ask for $231 for a parking permit per semester. That’s $462 per year IF not taking summer courses.

4. They are going to stop allowing students to use less expensive CSU permits to park.

Cal Poly Pomona has made it horrible for current and new students to park and it is purely because of greed. Students at this university shouldn’t have to miss classes because they can’t find parking due to more students and less places to park. Students at this university shouldn’t be forced to find alternative methods of transportation because the parking permit cost is too great on the student and adds to the already ridiculous costs of things like mandatory iclickers and textbooks.

We, students at Cal Poly, ask President Coley to keep allowing other CSU permits here and open back up our student lots that we lost to faculty who don’t even use it.
