Nowadays, we are suffering environmental dilemmas such as global warming, flash floods. One of the causes of these problem is the misbehavior of the people towards waste management. Some people are reckless in throwing their garbage. They do not think of the possible results of their actions on the environmental as well as on health. And people now are throwing garbage in a improper place some of our neighbors don’t segregate their garbage, they don’t have enough knowledge about garbage segregation.

This is what Villa Ofelia is suffering from right now. That is why our group, “YOUR TRASH IS EVERYBODY’S TRASH” created a social media page to give information about awareness regarding to this community issues. This community problem, many of us are aware but as a normal citizen, we can’t offer help regarding to that because we don’t have the power to give solution to that big problem. But in this campaign/project we, our group, wants to help the citizen in this barangay to have a voice to make a solution to this problem that never ends. Our team wants to take action about this problem.

Did you know that improper garbage disposal is one bad effect especially on the community? because it can lead to flooding, blocked drainage, and also in the environment. And it is not safe for people around the community because of the garbage that people is throwing anywhere. That is the one of the bad attitude that people are keep doing, so we are here to stop that and make a better living place to each and everyone.

Proper Waste Disposal and Public Health
When waste is disposed of properly, it helps to prevent additional pollution which can improve public health. Polluted air increases the risk of respiratory illness. Waste that is properly disposed of has a lesser chance of getting into the water supply and causing illness.

A single litter can pile up and become a mountain of trash. Our campaign's mission is to spread awareness and remind the people to always throw your garbage on the right bin because having a wastes around us poses a threat to our very own health. Together, let's pick that trash.
