The Ramapo College of New Jersey thought that students knew exactly what they were getting themselves into this semester, the students were not prepared nor were the faculty or staff members. This semester students have not been able to manage their courses as they usually would have as all classes are online and professors are cramming so much material in such a little amount of time. Professors need to realize, that although classes are online, students are faced with financial burdens and must take up jobs to support their families- as well deal with the ongoing stress of a global pandemic. 

It would be incredibly beneficial to the students of Ramapo College to give the option of Pass/Fail- this includes graduation requirements as well. Many schools are starting to implement this method and our college should follow in suit.

To all faculty, staff and President Mercer: Please listen to the many students who face failing, losing scholarships and those who are worried about not graduating on time.
