For those of you who don't know, Kroger employees are striking for better wages and a safer work enviroment. The Kroger Colorado brand, King Sooper, made over $2 billion in profits and $1billion in investment profits.
Kroger chose to award the CEO a $20 million bonus while unlivable wages to the front line employees responsible for running their stores. These employees bore the brunt of work amid the pandemic despite being exposed to Covid, being spit on and attacked, and being understaffed. They sell groceries to the public that they themselves can't afford. They earned the extra profits for Kroger, not the CEO.
Why do corporations tell front line workers they can't afford to pay them a living wage while granting their CEOs etc millions in bonuses?
Because they can. Because they've taken workers for granted. Because they've forgotten that without us, their success would be impossible.
Workers deserve a thriving wage for their part in that success. Instead corporations force us to live off pennies simply to buy food and housing.
They will not treat us as people until we force them too. We need the Employee Bill of Rights as law to prevent this from happening ever again.
We will support the Kroger employees! Please message through Facebook or Tweetthat you support the employee striking.

Example:
If your CEO deserves a $20 million bonus, the worker striking deserve a wage that can afford food, housing, and supports their families! Workers are not an exploitable resource. I will fight to support the union and to guarantee Employee rights by law! https://www.change.org/EmployeeBillsofRights
