I don't know how many of you are familiar with the news coverage of Marcus's arrest back in 2016, but there are some things we need to clear up
1- It is very well known that the news portrays whatever story the police want them to portray... especially in 2016 and in North Carolina.
2-A lot of people heard that he has been arrested, but just about no one knew that he had been convicted. To put it another way... if you are so sure that the person you've arrested is the perpetrator, in a high profile case of a decently high profile person, then your also going to promote that person's conviction with the same enthusiasm BUT they didn't... Why?
Because Marcus Alston is innocent, There is corruption although out his case by police and prosecution, and a lot of the details portrayed as "Facts" were actually... WRONG!

The news and police reported that what initially made Marcus a suspect were the following:
1- He was the only person around
2-He gave some conflicting information

Here's the FACTS though:
For #1: He was not the only person around, and infact, there was a person there at the scene specifically to watch and care for the victim.
For #2: The conflicting information is as follows
A: Marcus called three people... 911, an ex-friend who knows CPR and was connected with the police, and the victims mother... He didn't remember if he'd called the mother before the ex-friend or the ex-friend before the mother.
B: While being physically sick, in shock from the loss of a little girl he was in the process of ADOPTING, and being interviewed by police, the detective kept trying to confuse him and mix up his words, so when he says that he poured water into the victim's mouth to try to get her to throw up anything that might be stuck, the statement ended up being confused with "did he partially submerge her in water.
C: Out of the dozens of investigators there at the scene, including those Marcus spoke with, it was reported and even recorded, that Marcus had last seen the victim around 5-5:30 that day. But 1 rookie cop, who'd been on the job for a few months, reported that Marcus had last seen her at 7:30pm. At first we didn't worry about it because we thought it was a typo... But that 1 rookie cop's statement helped undermined Marcus as a whole.
Do you see how stupid these things were?

Just to make this clear... Marcus doesn't believe in Physical Discipline or Violence or abuse. He grew up with a lot of that happening to him. So much so that it disgusts him. Which may very well be the reason he works so hard at helping people.
Additionally, Marcus has never done drugs and does not drink. He doesn't do anything. Unnaturally,(lol) he only likes to work and help others. He's so passionate about it, that doctors have said he gets sick for days at a time because he works so much and stresses too much. Regardless of this he believes in one of his favorite quotes, said by Will Smith. "If your not making someone else's life better, you're wasting your time."

Remember how WE said that Marcus was not the only person at the scene who could've committed this crime? And remember how the News, Police and Prosecution said that he was? Well... Guess what... The police had evidence, since the beginning of this case. Evidence proving that what they reported was a LIE. The lead detective (who received a promotion weeks later) LIED in his official report about the evidence, which was signed off by his superior.
WE have that evidence! The original detective, who worked with the lead detective and who complied the evidence pointing to the real culprit back in 2016, was unavailable during trial.
The Official reason for this: He was loaned from North Carolina's Raleigh Police Department to Mexico (is that really the best they could come up with?)
The actual reason: The police and prosecution couldn't have that detective testify that they had evidence pointing to a completely different person, since the beginning of this case, that the powers that be Lied about it and continued to WRONGFULLY prosecute and innocent man

The actual killer has been free, living life, using Marcus as a scape goat, for a crime he didn't even know had happened at first. This person was NEVER investigated, continuously lied to police in interviews lied in court, and there is evidence to Prove all of this.
But because of the police's neglect and refusal to investigate, the essential proof of the killer is impossible to obtain this late.
However, all of the evidence pointing to a different person, found by the police, was obtained in the 3-year long investigation into Marcus.
What do you think it means when a 3-year long investigation into Marcus Alston turns up nothing, no foul play, no knowledge of anything wrong, etc... But it keeps pointing to someone else? Marcus Alston is innocent! That's what.

Many people were shocked about hearing what Marcus was accused of... So was Marcus. The victim's death hit almost no one else harder than this young man who was in the process of working to legally adopt Laniyah and her brother. And like any good parent, he hasn't only been trying to prove his innocence, but he's been working to find the killer. However, thanks to the police and company, proving the killer is impossible, due to their lack of investigation. Even with that, a simple compare and contrast list of Marcus VS who we know committed this crime, shows Only 1 thing in his column... Partial opportunity... But even a Chinese Ninja has partial opportunity (lol)
The other person... Well that list HEAVILY outweighs Marcus's column.

Some people may be asking, "why would the police go through all of this for Marcus Alston?"
Well the answer is not too difficult, but it does work In parts:
1- the evidence pointing to a different person was 'confirmed' a month after the police arrested Marcus.
2- think about where this is locationally:
- North Carolina, the home to the most prisons in the United States.
- A known Bible-belt state
- In the Capitol of the state (near the governor's office and mansion)
- In a county who's conviction rate concerns even the federal government
- In a state where they STILL hold KKK RALLYS
- And in a place where a young man like Marcus Alston could've had a lot of influence because of their mistake.

Why would Marcus have a lot of influence?
Because as a North Carolina news reporter said... He looked to be and "up and comer" who worked in the "acting" entertainment industry. Also, he had recently spoken with Pope Francis, being chosen to do so by the ABC network, which was seen by Millions of people around the world. Additionally, he was still helping people in the local community. So compared to your average North Carolinian, Marcus Alston was a near-celebirty, who could've created a lot of fuss and problems for North Carolina, having been wrongfully accused. Not to mention law suits against NC, the police, the prosecution, all of the news stations that reported what they did... And then the news stations could sue NC, the police and the prosecution as well for giving them false information.
Too big a can of worms for NC, so it was better to sweep things under the rug.
We're not going to let that happen.

Oh let me not forget to mention... The actual killer, who's been out and free living among people every day, has strong ties to the police and was an applicant for the same police departments police academy.

Did you know: the next year, it was reported that North Carolina's Wake County (where Marcus was at) had wrongfully convicted dozens of people who ended up spending several years and even decades in prison because of the prosecution not following the law and working to correct wrongs. You can only imagine why the federal government would be worried about the extremely high 97-98% conviction rate. Obviously, we are too.

Now do you understand why everything was "hushed", swept under the rug, kept on the DL, in Marcus's case? Even some jail officers who knew of Marcus's case and had been following up with it, didn't know he'd been convicted. Nor did they expect him to be. But they were privy to the evidence the jurors weren't allowed to see.

Later on, when Marcus found out that there was foul play in this case, and found out WHEN the injuries an death occured, Marcus asked the police and prosecution to investigate... To look at the evidence-THEIR OWN EVIDENCE!
The prosecution had a meeting with Marcus's first attorney, a year and a half after his arrest, and they agreed that they know "Marcus is innocent, but that's not the way the law works". If something is not messed up with that, then I don't know what is.

Please stay tuned for more information coming soon.

Thank you.
