For far too long individuals have been given little to no punishment for breaking the laws of their host country. History has shown many individuals with Diplomatic Immunity have escaped civil and criminal charges, that most residences of the host country would have been tried for; assault, kidnapping, terrorism and espionage, just to name a few.

Many individuals currently enjoying the Diplomatic Immunity, include that of friends and families of diplomats, the wealthy with political ties and common workers at embassies. Diplomatic Immunity was originally set forth to ensure safe passage of diplomats and their staff, while ensuring that they follow their host countries laws and regulations.

Diplomatic Immunity is a privilege not a right. Unfortunately, many with Diplomatic Immunity have been treating it as their right. Therefore, it is time to completely eliminate Diplomatic Immunity across the board, and force those that have it, to finally follow and abide by the laws of their host country, or be punished accordingly to the law of the land.
