FAIR SALARY, BETTER PERFORMANCE: Increase the Minimum Wage of Traffic Enforcer.

FAIR SALARY, BETTER PERFORMANCE: Increase the Minimum Wage of Traffic Enforcer.

The Issue

Traffic is always a big problem here in the Philippines, and Cabanatuan City is not exempted for that. Students, office workers, teachers, even high ranking officials are sometimes stucked in traffic. All of us are affected by this time consuming and stressful traffic. That is why there are traffic enforcer to aid the slow and sluggish traffic flow, but for me they do not receive the right amount of payment or their salary is low.

We all know that being a traffic enforcer is no joke and it is an extraordinary job. All the thigs that they do are hard and exhausting, but they do their job to support their families and to meet the flow of traffic. Starting early in the morning, the traffic enforcers are exposed to the sun and the harmful radiation from the sun along with dust and black carbons and heavy metals coming from all the vehicles on the road.

As a citizen of this country and for the improvement of the flow of traffic, I want to help my fellow citizen by having a petition to increase their minimum wagw and I also suggest to give them health benefits in the reason that according to a study conducted by the National Institute for Health at the University of the Philippines Manila, being exposed to black carbons and heavy metals affects the blood pressure and lung function of traffic enforcers including the female enforcers who never smoke a single cigarette in their lives.

This petition is to help the traffic enforcers to have health benefits and to increase their minimum wage. We should all appreciate the sacrifice that the enforcers do and the health risks that they face everytime they are on their duty.
