In light of the unforeseen changes to the remainder of the spring semester due to COVID-19, we, the Temple University Class of 2020, strongly urge President Englert and those involved to postpone all Temple University spring commencements to a later date in the summer or fall, NOT cancel the event altogether. 

We understand the severity of the current situation our world faces, but know with time, we will get through it— and when that time comes, we should be able to celebrate this milestone achievement we persevered through so much to accomplish.

As higher education professionals, we know you understand the importance of graduation to a college senior. It's not your fault, and it's not ours; but it's where we are, and we know we can find a solution. 

We know Temple has the resources to keep graduation on and in-person, just at a later date. So, with that— we implore.. we plead... we beg of you, please let us have a proper goodbye to the past four years. This isn't an impossible feat. Let's be a leader to universities across the country.
