Freedom of speech and freedom of press are the fundamental basis of any democracy, which is at stake and challenged with Arnab’s arrest.

The whole sequence of events indicates that Arnab has been framed for speaking the truth. Arnab had the bravery to uncover the wrongdoings of several people. It’s personal hatred that is being served with Arnab’s arrest.

Arnab is badly treated, and his family being harassed. The central government should use its constitutional power to bring justice. If a journalist like Arnab is badly treated for speaking the truth, what’s the example being set for the common person? How will a common person dare to speak the truth against the misconducts of the powerful?

We hope that the President, Supreme Court, or the Central government will intervene to get an immediate release for Arnab so that the common person can still trust the judiciary system. Justice should prevail.
