I have been at Monmouth University for three years now and I am not the type of person to complain a lot, I tend to just find ways to fix the problem, but when it comes to the food here at Monmouth University it has gotten worse almost every year. The food here is either undercooked, flavorless, or does not look edible and it makes it very hard to enjoy any of my meals here. For example there was an occasion where I ordered a burrito rice bowl and the chicken had a fishy after taste and the rice was either uncooked or stale and was not edible. Also Monmouth does not accommodate to the different ethnicities her at Monmouth and when they do, the food is not very appetizing. The dishes are mainly tailored to the majority white student body. Although there are limitations to serving such a large population, there are ways to improve that they are not utilizing and the current pandemic has put a spotlight on how Monmouth students are getting the short end of the stick when it comes to on campus dining. So I ask you to sign this petition so we can start this conversation to get better food and better options.
