You guys! We are now at 915 signatures on the petition to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous People’s Day on a FEDERAL level! This change will not only give recognition to the indigenous peoples of the Americas and the Caribbean but it will also be a turning point in education. Our education system would be able to incorporate this into their lessons to teach children across the country the real story about Columbus and how important it is to respect and preserve the lands of indigenous peoples.
