With the ongoing winter storm, students are displaced and are desperately looking for meals. In light of this, UT allowed students who live off-campus to get on-campus meals. However, UT is price-gouging those students who do not have the on-campus meal plan and making them pay costly prices just to get a warm meal. This is outrageous.

To show he actually cares for his student body, President Hartzell must use his recently increased salary of 1.25 million dollars to cover all student meals. No student should be charged for a basic necessity ever, but especially during a time when food is limited and crucial for survival.
