Since the beginning of this pandemic, over 1,700 health care workers have died and so many more have fallen ill, and more shall fall.
We have sacrificed much during this pandemic, isolating, fighting hard to keep our patients alive, get them better, and in many cases prevent our elderly charges from becoming ill.
It seems that no one wishes to recognize this. No one wishes to recognize the daily sacrifices we make. The double shifts, the 24 hours on call, the arrangements we make so that we do not infect our families. Often we do so without hazard pay, for $10.00 an hour in the case of Nursing Assistants.
The stress and strain is tremendous. 

This petition is to ask President-Elect Joe Biden to declare a National Week of Remembrance for all of our fallen.
Are we not soldiers too?
Do we not "Protect and Serve"?
We are not expendable. We did not sign up to die, but do so anyway.
