Get Eric Baker (Adisa Iwa) back on Morehouse College's campus

Get Eric Baker (Adisa Iwa) back on Morehouse College's campus
The Issue
At the beginning of the fall 2021 year, a well known and respected Morehouse College professor, Eric Baker (formally known as Adisa Iwa), was wrongfully terminated from his position after ten long years of extraordinary service to his students, and Morehouse's Cinema Television and Emerging Medias (CTEMS) program which he helped create. Recently, in an ajc.com newspaper article, Professor Adisa Iwa aka Eric Baker was publicly named as the primary witness in a discrimination lawsuit involving an HIV positive Morehouse student. As students, we believe that his termination has more to do with his vocal advocacy against the maltreatment of students than it does the “official” stated reason that was given. When the news reached the campus, immediately, current students and alum were concerned, as Adisa Iwa has never been one to receive a negative remark. In fact, students were so concerned that they wrote a letter to Morehouse asking for proper reinstatement of his position which is still awaiting a proper response. By signing this petition, you are not only helping the current students navigate their rights, but you are also advocating for those affected and the creatives to come.
