President Carter please help us Monitor the U.S. 2016 Primaries and Presidential elections
The Issue
Dear President and Mrs. Carter: I am a 64 year old naturalized American, daughter and granddaughter of Spanish freedom fighters. I live most of my life under dictatorship in Spain under Franco and later in the Philippines under Marcos. I voted for the first time in the USA. I am a Bernie Sander supporter and as many others are very concern of the political climate at the moment that is destroying democracy and moving toward oligarchy. As I'm sure you know, there has been steadily increasing evidence of corruption in U.S. elections, beginning with Al Gore's loss despite the fact that he should have won the electoral college if only the Supreme Court would have allowed the Florida vote counting to go to its rightful conclusion. More recently, mathematician Beth Carson has uncovered strong statistical evidence of fraud in several Kansas elections. Adding to the impression of guilt, the state of Kansas is forcing her to sue the state in order to obtain evidence that should have been publicly available to begin with. Most recently, the DNC's hand picked maintainer of the Democratic database has made it possible for the campaigns of competing primary candidates to see each other's data. After agreeing to an independent investigation, the DNC has, without buy-in from the Sanders campaign, hired Kroll investigators for the investigation. Unfortunately, Kroll is a company without the kind of sterling reputation one would hope for. Then there's the new voter suppression efforts in Republican controlled areas of the country that I'm sure you're aware of. Voter suppression was bad enough in the last Presidential election with poor minority people being forced to wait in line up to 8 hours to vote. I urge you to apply the talents and efforts of the Carter Democracy program to monitoring U.S. elections, especially the upcoming primaries that are a month away, and of course the 2016 general election. Gracias Mr. President for all the years of service to the American People
