There have been a lot of changes in the past month. COVID-19 has spread quickly creating a worldwide pandemic pushing civilians to social distance until the end of May. This will have large affects on the mental health of everyone, but also adds another layer of adaptability for college students. Students are mourning the loss of the school year, graduation, loved ones and even deal with the anxiety of getting the virus. These are difficult times in the world and education should not be a priority. College education is demanding, and I do not think I’m speaking alone when I say that I have been struggling. It is time for Rutgers University to end the semester and give students a 4.0 semester gpa. This will alleviate the unprecedented mental and physical health issues and general distress many Rutgers Students are dealing with at the moment.
