Veto the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) (H.R. 3523)

Veto the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) (H.R. 3523)
The Issue
Everyone cares about keeping children safe online and making sure that we are not subject to cyber warfare, but... "Cybersecurity does not have to mean abdication of Americans' online privacy. As we've seen repeatedly, once the government gets expansive national security authorities, there's no going back."
This is a bad bill that goes too far in taking privacy rights away from US citizens. High emotions craft poor legislation. President Obama has reviewed the legislation and has "made it clear that the administration views CISPA as a huge overreach on privacy, driving a truck through existing privacy protections."(http://radar.oreilly.com/2012/04/cispa-legislation-cyber-security.html)
More than 60 distinguished IT SECURITY professionals, academics and engineers -- experts in setting up Internet security that works -- published an open letter to Congress urging opposition to any "'cybersecurity' initiative that does not explicitly include appropriate methods to ensure the protection of users’ civil liberties."
Please sign this petition, Share it with any of your friends who you think might care about the government taking away more of the rights we are guaranteed by the US Constitution. Our soldiers are fighting and dying make sure American's rights are protected while our government is taking those rights away.
Enough.
With all due respect, President Obama, we the people are not willing to give the government access to our private conversations. We are not willing to give the government permission to invade our privacy.
The legislators we elected seem to have forgotten that they are tasked with upholding the Constitution. This is the reason the President has veto powers. You have promised a veto if this Act passed. We are counting on you to keep your word and VETO the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA). Thank you,
