BC Parks is proceeding with an extensive campsite development in a forested area of the Tribune Bay Provincial Park in 2024.

~5 acres of forest ecosystem & habitat for diverse + endangered species will be permanently affected.

We have reviewed BC Parks plans & are unwilling to allow this important forest & wetland to be compromised.

Our goal: to work with BC Parks to ensure that camping opportunities are available for visitors without doing lasting ecological harm or depleting the precarious water supply on our small island.

We need to act now. BC Parks is proceeding with their plans despite lack of community consultation & adequate ecological/hydrological assessment.
