We, the vibrant students of Senn Arts, find our futures at stake due to proposed cutbacks to the Arts Program that anchors our educational experience. Our passionate pursual of artistic and academic excellence is threatened as we watch the potential limitations on our favoured craft. Our chosen career paths are endangered, stalls erected on our roadways to success. For many of us, Senn Arts is not a leisure pursuit but a stepping stone to a brighter future promised by an artistic career.

Senn Arts, a Fine and Performing Arts Magnet Program located in Chicago, plays a pivotal role in molding proficient artists for the global community. It serves as a platform that nurtures our academic, social, and personal growth. It is distressing to imagine our school without the benefits of the in-school tech rehearsals, which are instrumental to our learning and development. Furthermore, the prospect of seeing our art resources being made less accessible is frightening.

Robust arts education translates to better academic performance. Countless studies, including those conducted by the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, highlight the correlation between arts education and improved mathematical and verbal skills. The proposed changes will not only impact our creative lives but our general school performance as well.

The preservation and enhancement of the Senn Arts program and its resources are paramount for our continued growth as artists and global citizens.
