The residents of Mission Place in Motherwell are deeply concerned about the potential loss of our housing support staff. Our community is home to many vulnerable individuals who rely heavily on these dedicated professionals for their everyday needs. The personal support provided by these officers is not just a service; it's a lifeline.

The housing support staff at Mission Place play an integral role in maintaining our quality of life. They are familiar faces that we trust and depend upon. Their removal would not only disrupt our daily routines but also jeopardize the safety and well-being. It is critical to retain the current level of staffing rather than reduce it.  North Lanarkshire Council are proposing to remove the funding for the staff and replace them with technology!

The residents have been assessed by North Lanarkshire social workers as requiring VERY sheltered housing.  

We urge you to consider the human impact this decision will have on us, your constituents. We ask that you prioritize people over budget cuts and ensure that those most vulnerable among us continue receiving the essential support they need.
