POSTPONED TONIGHT -- Pear Street High-Rise will not be heard
City Council have just announced that the Special Use Permit for the 15-story Pear Street high-rise WILL NOT BE DEBATED TONIGHT.
Please do NOT TURN UP AT CITY HALL
This is the third postponement and the next official Council meeting is in September. However, there is a small chance of the Council setting meeting for July 28, prior to their August recess.
While the new delay is very frustrating, we have learned that some of the Council members still don’t know enough about the problems with the project and this delay will allow them time to study the extensive materials we have provided. Plus we can keep collecting petition signatures and supporters to protect Libby Hill Park and the beautiful panoramic view. In that regard, be sure to take a look at the aerial photos https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fmlfn418bwtnntt/AABZLd_CDqElGY6NlNvSAaWCa and video https://www.dropbox.com/s/ywqr08ugj8q7uar/Libby%20HIll%20Park.mov both produced by volunteer Kamaron Goodrich. Yes, the campaign now has an aerial drone!
We will keep you posted
