Petition updatePreserve the Crestline Park Neighborhood: Maintain Single-Family Residential ZoningJoin us for an organizing meeting 02/27/25:
Crestline NeighborhoodUnited States
22 Feb 2025

Preserve Crestline Park is hosting its first stand-alone neighborhood and stakeholders meeting to plan and organize it in opposition to any zoning changes in the neighborhood.

An important distinction we will discuss carefully at the meeting is that the petition and resolution both call for maintaining the current single-family zoning rather than developing single-family units.

The meeting is separate from the official Neighborhood Association meeting, which is expected to be 15-20 minutes. Please come for the NA meeting at 6 pm and stay for a single-topic one-hour discussion on the zoning issue facing our neighborhood afterward. The official start time of our meeting is 6:30 pm; however, if the NA meeting adjourns before then, we won't waste time and will start, so we encourage you to come to the 6:00 pm NA meeting as well.

This will not be a debate or forum-style event to discuss the merits of a zoning change; instead, it will be a meeting for those who oppose any plan change beyond single-family residential zoning to organize.

Several volunteers will lead the meeting, and two to three additional neighbors with specific experience in zoning changes and stormwater issues will give brief remarks and answer questions if they can.

We will be working under the presumption that a new zoning request will be forthcoming in the next several months and that the developer will attempt to move forward a plan that moves the property from single-family residential to either medium-density (D4) or multi-dwelling (D5) .

No new specifics will be announced at this meeting, as the developer has not made any available beyond the fact that they are likely still seeking a zoning change request.

This meeting has three objectives: First, we will review frequently asked questions related to current zoning, the zoning process, and the goals of this group. Second, we will allocate a specific amount of time for questions or comments. While we aim to address as many of those that weren't answered in the FAQ section, this will be time-limited to avoid staying all night or going in circles. Finally, we will present a call to action to ensure we are well-represented throughout the process.

RSVP is not required but is encouraged for set-up and handout purposes - Eventbrite Link here or on the PreserveCrestlinePark.com website.
