I am writing this petition as a resident of Level Green, PA, and as a managing partner at Roundtop Stables. This farm has been my home since childhood and over the years, it has become more than just land; it's an integral part of our community. It has shaped lives, helped people with disabilities, brought us together in unity and stands as an icon in Level Green.

However, the proposed rezoning of Roundtop Stables to mixed residential threatens all that we hold dear. The change will not only alter the character of our area but will also increase traffic on Rt 130 - a road already burdened with too much traffic leading to numerous accidents that I have personally witnessed right in front of Roundtop.

Moreover, this rezoning will reduce farmland in Level Green which is detrimental to our ecosystem and erases an iconic landmark that has given back to our community for over 50 years. As per USDA data (2017), Pennsylvania lost about 6% of its farmland between 2002-2017 due to urbanization or other non-agricultural uses. We cannot afford further loss.

As a mother myself, safety is paramount for me - not just for my family but for everyone residing here. The proposed change puts us all at risk by increasing traffic congestion on an already busy route.

We must preserve what makes Level Green unique – its rural charm and sense of community spirit embodied by places like Roundtop Stables. Therefore, I urge you all to sign this petition against the rezoning proposal so we can protect our beloved stables from being turned into another residential complex.
