This past Monday,May 27, being Memorial Day I joined a few of my friends , all opposed to the real estate development by M2 Partners, LLC of the western portion of my original 1824 Maple Street Cemetery , aka Parcel P.
They came to pay their respects to the remaining of us buried here.
They placed American Flags next to our headstones.
They paid homage to the two American Revolutionary War Soldiers buried here , Jonathan Ayers and Daniel Benedict.
They saw my burial ground between Parcel P and the white fence over- grown with grass, weeds and saplings.
They saw a tall chain linked fence surrounding us here.
It’s all for our own protection you know .
A lot of good it did for my friend David Law and his family.
They are still buried in Parcel P where they aren’t supposed to be.
This is what comes about with abuse of Municipal Authority and Financial Greed.
