As of today, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) has not responded to our official public records request regarding the engineering survey conducted along Mandarin Road from Red Cypress Drive to Walter Jones Park . This survey, which was performed in December 2024, involved the placement of tags and markers throughout the corridor—signaling potential plans for tree removal and construction.
Despite multiple requests, the survey results have not been made available to the public, raising serious concerns about transparency and community involvement. Residents deserve to see the data and plans before irreversible changes are made to one of Jacksonville’s most historic and ecologically sensitive roads.we deserve to see survey before May 14 meeting at mandarin community club , 6 pm.
We urge JTA to release the full findings of the December 2024 survey and allow the community to meaningfully engage before moving forward.
