The Town of Lantana’s Mission Statement is “To preserve Lantana's small town atmosphere through responsible government and quality service.” The proposal of developing the old  KMart into more apartments does NOT align with preserving the small town atmosphere that we have come to know and love.

Developers are hoping to move forward with their visions of a huge gated apartment complex where KMart was in Lantana, FL. We all hope that this will not materialize.

There was a Town Council meeting back on 7/11/22 where the majority of speakers on this issue spoke out against the idea of more apartments. We urge Town Officials to reject what the developers have proposed as it is not the will of the constituents of the Town of Lantana.

I have created this petition in hopes to save our town from being more overdeveloped and preserving the small town feel.
