Preserve Gene Winfield's Legacy and Maintain Transparency at His Museum
The Issue
We are a group of friends, fans, and supporters of Gene Winfield, who are immensely distressed by the current turn of events concerning Gene's wishes and the lack of transparency in their actualization. Gene Winfield was a pivotal figure for us all, especially in the automotive community, as a very important founding father of our car community.
Gene's commitment wasn't just about his love of cars; it was about forming connections and sharing knowledge of his metal working craft with the all especially the youth . His vision for his museum to house his metal shop to carry on into teaching to future generations was paramount to him. Gene has always been a driving force, light shining the path for those willing to learn, to follow.
But today, that vision stands on shaky ground. If the unfolding circumstances aren't addressed effectively, we fear we may lose the essence of Gene’s vision for his museum and his legacy metal classes, as he planned for them. This could lead to the rash decisions by people with little regard for Gene's dream who seem eager to dismantle and or skew his instructions without restraint. In an effort to bolster their own desires and plans.
We, the signers of this petition, are determined to ensure Gene’s plans remain unblemished with actions to his legacy and museum's transparency unsullied. We demand accountability from all those in authority, for only then can we safeguard the visions he instilled for his museum and metal classes for future generations to access and enjoy.
It is time to let Gene’s dream become our rallying cry and fortify his legacy from becoming prey to skewed plans and reckless abandon. Hence, we implore everyone on this platform to rally round and sign this petition for the sake of transparency, accountability and the protection of The Gene Winfield Legacy Museum as he had planned. Let's stand up for Gene's vision, as he stood up for his passions & convictions.
