Preserve Flow State: Art & Healing Community Space in Portland

The Issue

Flow State is more than just a community space; it is a beating heart, pulsating with the vibrant energies of bipoc, queer and immigrant communities. This rich, diverse mosaic of cultures and identities has found a home, a safe haven and a healing sanctuary within its inclusive walls. Flow State is a cultural hub, a collective canvas for creativity, fostering resilience, innovation and solidarity in Portland.

However, this incredible space is under threat of eviction. This could mean the dissolution of a family of creatives, many who depend on it extensively for their well-being and personal development. It would also severely damage the cultural infrastructure of the city as it would result in the loss of a unique and vital space that empowers marginalized communities and provides them with a platform to express, heal and grow.

According to a study by the National Endowment for the Arts, such community art spaces not only foster individual creative growth but also contribute significantly to community development (National Endowment for the Arts, 2017).

It is critical that we preserve this cornerstone of our local culture and ensure it continues to thrive as a home for those who seek it. Sign this petition to save Flow State from eviction. Support the sustainability of this irreplaceable cultural hub in the heart of Portland – because a threat to one space of expression is a threat to all of us. Sign this petition, let your voice reverberate and save Flow State!
