Preserve and Protect Vietnam's Beloved Primates, Kaka and Mit

The Issue

In Thanh Hoa, the heart of Vietnam's monkey primate capitol, two special primates, Kaka and Mit, have endeared themselves to thousands worldwide. I, as an individual deeply connected to these magnificent creatures, particularly Kaka, am leading the call to implement stronger measures for their well-being.

Kaka, to me, is almost human in the depth of her emotions and her compassionate nature. To witness her struggle is like experiencing the pain of a close one – a difficult blow to bear. This feeling of empathy is shared by many globally who have taken on a sense of parental responsibility for Kaka and Mit.

These primates, recognized and loved by many, have inadvertently become national assets for Vietnam. Their well-being mirrors the efforts of the Education for Nature in Vietnam primate environment investigations in Thahn Hoa – their survival can significantly enhance the positive image of this region.

However, considering the rapid habitat destruction and increased risks faced by primates, efforts towards their protection should be prioritized. Various studies, like those conducted by the World Wildlife Fund, show a rapid decrease in primate populations worldwide. The responsibility to reverse this lies heavily on us, and we firmly believe that ENV, having influence over the primates' habitat, can play a significant role in this.

We, therefore, urge the ENV to take necessary steps to ensure these beloved primates, Kaka and Mit, are adequately fed and compassionately cared for – while remaining under the vigilant eyes of a world that truly cares for them. By doing so, the ENV not only preserves two beautiful lives but also reinforces its commitment to environmental conservation – an act sure to resonate positively with the global community. Let's rally together to protect Kaka and Mit. Please sign this petition.
