The Issue

We, the undersigned players and long-time fans of the Call of Duty franchise, respectfully ask Activision to commit to maintaining and supporting legacy Call of Duty titles.

Games such as Modern Warfare 2 & 3, Black Ops 1 & 2, Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, and others continue to have active and passionate player communities years after release. These titles are an important part of gaming history and remain favorites for millions of players.

However, many of these games currently suffer from:

Unaddressed hackers and exploits
Broken matchmaking and server issues
Security vulnerabilities
Lack of basic maintenance or anti-cheat updates

We are not asking for new content. We simply ask for:

Functional, stable servers
Regular anti-cheat enforcement
Security patches and exploit fixes
Basic maintenance to keep these games playable

Preserving these titles benefits both the community and Activision. Maintaining legacy games strengthens brand loyalty, encourages returning players, and demonstrates respect for the franchise’s history.

Call of Duty helped define online multiplayer gaming. These classics deserve to remain playable and protected.

We respectfully urge Activision to invest in the upkeep of these beloved games.
