Tree Removal Permit Filed for Allen Morris Park

A lot of you have been asking about the next steps with the park and what can be done. This week, a permit was just posted for tree removals to start in the park, signifying the beginning of planned development: https://www.miami.gov/My-Government/Departments/Building/View-Intended-Decisions-Posted-for-Tree-Permitting/INTENDED-DECISION-25-SE-10-ST

Particularly if you live within 500 ft of the park (so examples: like if you live in 1010 Brickell or the Brickell Flatiron) and are interested to appeal, you would especially have a good case for standing to do so.

Please know that if you file an appeal and it is accepted, you will need to be in person for the hearing, likely in September when meetings for the Historic and Environmental Preservation Board  reconvene.
