Research supports people living in greener areas have better mental health outcomes

Parks aren’t a luxury or “good-to-have” - research supports that those living in greener areas have better mental health outcomes.
From the article: “‘There is a strong and growing body of research showing that exposure to green space is related to better mental health, better cognition, higher levels of physical activity, lower cardiovascular disease, and lower mortality,’ said Peter James, Sc.D., an associate professor of environmental health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and an associate professor of population medicine at Harvard Medical School.”
This is yet another reason why it’s so important to try to preserve Allen Morris Park - for the health of our Brickell Community.
