PRC Allow foreign nursing graduates to take National licensure Examination and leave.
Why this petition matters
We the foreign trained Nurse graduates in Philippines humble pleads that we should be given an opportunity to take the Board exam in the country were we graduated from, as we see this is our fundamental right in the country of graduation considering the time, efforts and money we put in on this to be where we are. We are negatively affected by this decision not to take the board exam, everywhere in the world that you school in you are entitled to take the board exam. Take the US and other countries for instance where there are millions of Filipinos and other nationalities: once you study there you go ahead and take the NCLEX-RN and once you pass you are granted a license to practice. We spend years in Philippines paying taxes, rents, international students fees, immigration fees per annum and at the end we are denied the opportunity to become nurses. You are not a nurse without a license! The Professional regulatory Commission( PRC) has the power to bring about this change and as a matter of urgency look into this as millions of us have graduated in the previous and current years respectively and left wandering without a license. This is truly unfair to us as we have faced a lot of discrimination.
If this is granted we will be able to go home or go to other countries where we want to practice without being sent back to school because we do not have country of education license and because PRC keep denying us the chance of being licensed and registered nurses.
We are graduate of the Philippines, products of this great Country Philippines and should be treated as such and given the privilege to sit for the Philippines Nursing License Examination.
Thank you!
