The Issue

Prairie dogs are being killed in their homes by Sturgeon Electric trucks on the corner of 36th avenue and Uinta street, Denver, Colorado.

When I inquired the company said it was not the developer. That the developer will relocate prairie dogs for 3 months before construction. I saw that they were already running over the prairie dog homes while I was talking to them. I did not feel they were abiding by animal rights codes they professed to have. The prairie dogs were mostly on the other side of the field. There's no reason to be driving on that side of the lot.

Sturgeon Electric needs to be held accountable for the prairie dogs home destruction, they just ran over, not even close to their construction.

There's many ways to relocate the sweet little pups. It's future developing industrial complex can surely afford to move the innocent prairie dog colonies to a safe park away from the lot deemed for 'mixed use' in zoning restrictions for Denver.

If we steal their home, we should at least transport them to a safe area. These animals are some of the last prairie dogs left in Colorado. 85% has been lost this last year due to construction development. Save the prairie dogs!!

... and humans from being desensitized to killing innocent animals for convenience.

Prairie dogs improve soil health. They enhance plant diversity and provide habitat and food for other species. Also, they are gentle, super cute, and friendly. You can often see them playfully tackling their fellow pups, they are very social dogs. Prairie dogs are Colorado's little puppies. Do some pretend to not see them bc their homes are underground?
