Power, Progress, Politics: Women Leading the Future

The Issue

"Mahina ka kasi babae ka" Women in politics frequently face greater scrutiny and criticism for acts that would be overlooked or appreciated if exhibited by male leaders. They were frequently seen as "weak" or even "uncapable" of the task. People may be resistant to female political leaders because of deep-seated gender stereotypes, historical unfairness, media bias, fear of change, and double standards, all of which frequently impede women's leadership talents and roles.

What we really need is a? “FEMININOMENON” by Chappell Rhoan combine the concepts of "feminine" and "phenomenon," potentially referring to the rising influence and presence of women in political spheres.

The last several decades have seen a dramatic transition, with women rising to the forefront of global movements, corporations, governments, and communities. As we look to the future, women's contributions will remain a driving force for growth, creativity, and equality. Women in leadership go beyond the policies they advocate. It is about tearing down barriers, dispelling long-held misconceptions, and demonstrating to the next generation that leadership transcends gender.

Politics is not about gender. It requires a leader with significant knowledge, wisdom, and a willingness to serve the people rather than for popularity and personal gain. The future belongs to people who lead with vision, compassion, and a dedication to justice —qualities that women are uniquely positioned to exemplify.
