As an Indian citizen who has been deeply inspired by the remarkable journey of Late Shri Ratan Naval Tata, this endeavour to celebrate and commemorate his contributions has immense personal significance. Shri Ratan Tata, a figure of unmatched stature in the Indian industrial scene, was an embodiment of dreams actualized. Leading the Tata industrial conglomerate, he pushed India into the global limelight, boosted our technological capabilities, and more importantly, displayed an unparalleled humaneness that touched millions.

Ratan Tata was a beacon of persevering innovation - under his leadership Tata Motors launched "Nano", an astonishing feat that made cars accessible to the common Indian. His innovative brilliance was matched by a strong ethical fiber, reflected in the Tata group's philanthropic ventures. During his reign, Tata Sons, the holding company, donated huge sums to uplift society in areas like literacy, health, and infrastructural development.

Unfortunately, we lost this extraordinary personality recently, who left a deep vacuum in our society. It is our collective obligation to honor the memory of Shri Ratan Tata appropriately. In this regard, there can be no greater tribute than bestowing the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, posthumously upon him. The Bharat Ratna has been awarded posthumously before, an instance being to former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1966, signalling that this is not without precedent.

The recognition of Late Shri Ratan Tata's exceptional work through the Bharat Ratna would not only be a fitting tribute to a man of his caliber but also inspire a new generation of Indians to pursue their dreams with fervor, just as he did. This is more than a personal appeal - it's a national call to honor a man who shaped our nation's industry and philanthropy. Please join me in this petition to the Indian Government to confer the posthumous Bharat Ratna on the Late Shri Ratan Tata. Sign and share this petition.
