Return a Post Office to south Tamworth

Return a Post Office to south Tamworth
The Issue
In the mid 1990’s all the local post offices in the south side of Tamworth were closed in order to amalgamate under one roof at the Co-op Superstore in Wilnecote. (loosing customer service in the process.)
Local branches included Dosthill, Hockley, Wilnecote, Belgrave and Two Gates.
Subsequently the Co-op superstore itself finally closed its doors for good in January 2018 and we have been left without a service ever since, the nearest being Fazely (Lichfield) or Kingsbury (Warwickshire) both not only out of Tamworth but parking and service are not ideal as well as not practical for none drivers.
We we’re promised a new post office as part of the development plans for the coop site but now the plans are at an advanced stage there is no mention of a post office.
(In my opinion the coop site would have made a perfect replacement for the boxed in sorting office in Blythe Street with zero parking and could have incorporated a post office but instead we are getting a pointless retail park when the town centre is empty, although I acknowledge the decision on the site was nothing to do with Post Offfice, rant over)
The old pharmacy is now unoccupied in Dosthill and would be suitable.
