All business owners across Elm Grove/Kings Rd received a letter from the Council stating that the residents in the area agreed with the Council’s Decision regarding the suspension of all the parking spaces across Elm Grove and Kings Road to make space for bicycle lanes instead. The residents of Elm Grove DID NOT RECEIVE a single email, letter, phone call from Portsmouth City Council asking for our opinion regarding this matter or at least to inform us that this program is on a 3 weeks trial basis. This will have a big impact on every business in our area and residents will struggle even more to find a parking space in the side roads. 
They did everything behind closed doors, hoping that people won’t stick together in this matter. It’s outrageous and totally irresponsible to ignore tax payers in such an important matter and we ask the Council to take actions against the person responsible for disregarding the resident’s opinions and rights.
